British heavyweight Dubois KO’s Snijders in front of Fury to claim 15th win of his career

Daniel Dubois demolished Dutchman Ricardo Snijders inside two rounds to claim the the 15th win of his career on Saturday night.

WBC heavyweight king Tyson Fury was ringside as the 22-year-old heavyweight British champion dropped his opponent three times at the end of the first round.

A fourth knockdown came early in the second round from a right hook and the referee stepped in to end the contest.

Job done.

Now on to the big one with Joe Joyce 🙌 pic.twitter.com/AittLsob1A

Afterwards he said: ‘I am just getting warmed up. Next time I will have a proper fighter in Joe Joyce and that will make for an even better fight.

It was a devastating return after eight months of the ring and fired a warning to rival Joe Joyce.

Dubois and Joyce have seen their all-London heavyweight showdown postponed twice due to the coronavirus pandemic this year.

Joyce took a warm-up fight in late July, blasting through Michael Wallisch inside three rounds.

And Dubois lived up to his side of the deal, barely breaking a sweat as he swept past Snijders, who was drafted in as a replacement for original opponent Eric Pfiefer 10 days ago.

They are now hoping to meet on October 24.
