Aston Villa attacker Trezeguet is a transfer target for Besiktas just a year after he moved to Villa Park.
The Egyptian scored the goal that took Villa to the Carabao Cup Final, the winner in the 3-2 aggregate semi-final win over Leicester, and has shown flashes of promise during his first Premier League campaign, even though he has not been a regular starter under Dean Smith.
Trezeguet, 25, was signed last summer from another Turkish club, Kasimpasa, for close to £10million, as part of Villa’s £130million spending spree.
Like many of the other players in the spending spree, Trezeguet had no prior experience in English football and struggled for consistency before the campaign was called to a halt following the coronavirus pandemic.
In 31 games across all competitions, Trezeguet contributed four goals and three assists but did manage to pick up a red card in that time.
In the Turkish league, he managed 25 goals in 71 appearances while contributing 18 assists, making him a very attractable proposition for Besiktas.
