Virgil van Dijk underwent treatment during the Netherlands’ 1-1 draw with Norway on Wednesday night, giving Liverpool fans a concern. The defender had dislocated a finger in a terrible accident, it turned out.
Van Dijk has only recently returned from an ACL tear that halted his 2020-21 season early.

Van Dijk’s finger was strapped up by the national team’s doctor, and he was able to play the rest of the game.

The lead, though, was short-lived, as former Everton midfielder Davy Klaassen equalized shortly before half-time.

Van Dijk’s first major competition would be in Qatar in 2022. The former Southampton player was able to improve his fitness by playing against Norway.
Van Dijk opened all about rehabbing after a major injury last month.
After Liverpool defeated Norwich City 3-0 on the opening day of the season, he told Sky Sports, “You go from being perfectly fit to being unable to walk the next day.”
