Because of three players, Jamie Carragher advises Mauricio Pochettino to leave PSG for Manchester United.

Mauricio Pochettino has been pushed to quit PSG as soon as possible.

According to Liverpool veteran Jamie Carragher, Mauricio Pochettino “needs to get out” of Paris Saint-Germain. Pochettino has been linked with a move to Manchester United, and Carragher believes the Argentine should seize the opportunity.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was ousted by United last weekend, and the club is looking for a replacement.

If they decide to hire a permanent successor in the middle of the season, Pochettino is at the top of the list.

On Wednesday, the former Tottenham manager’s PSG team lost 2-1 to Manchester City in the Champions League.

At the Etihad, PSG’s front three of Lionel Messi, Kylian Mbappe, and Neymar were chastised for their lack of defensive effort.

Carragher claimed after the game that the performance of those three should push Pochettino to resign as soon as feasible.

“Pochettino has got to get out of that club,” the CBS Sports pundit added.

“If he gets the chance to play for Manchester United, I’d be there the next day.”

“I honestly would, and I’d do anything for those three stars.”

[OPINION] PSG’s ‘frustrations’ revealed as Kylian Mbappe is rumoured for a stunning Newcastle transfer. [QUOTES] PSG’s front three, according to Arsenal veteran Thierry Henry, does not suit current play.

“I’ll tell you as an ex-striker, we stated it from the beginning, every time we talk about Paris Saint-Germain, even back home in France, they say you can no longer defend with seven men in the modern game,” Henry remarked.

“It’s impossible, regardless of who you are.”

Carragher had previously said that United were not far behind Liverpool and Manchester City.

Despite both clubs handing the Red Devils heavy defeats in the last month, this is the case.

“I don’t think Pochettino will be in Paris Saint-Germain next season, whether the Manchester United job is there or not,” Carragher concluded.

“I don’t think he’s having a good time, and I’m relying on his remarks from last week and reading between the lines.”

“As for that job, if he doesn’t win the Champions League or come close this season, they’ll most likely search for someone else.”
