Griezmann is another player Barcelona is rumored to be interested in selling in order to save money.
And some Barcelona fans have expressed their displeasure with Griezmann, claiming that he is to blame for Messi’s upcoming departure.
For the first time since it was reported that Messi would be departing, Barcelona players began to come at training on Friday morning.
Outside the training field, a large group of Barcelona fans gathered to pleading with the club to reverse their decision.
According to Spanish news station Cuatro, Griezmann appeared to absorb the majority of the rage from those supporters.
A fan is claimed to have yelled at Griezmann as he drove into the training site, “Messi is leaving because of you.”
As he arrived for training, Jordi Alaba reportedly received several nasty messages.
Messi has been a free agent since July 1, but early reports suggested that a new contract was almost a lock.
