Because of four India players, Virat Kohli may have to reshuffle his dressing room for the England series.

For the Test series against England, Virat Kohli will return as India’s captain.

According to sources, when Virat Kohli rejoins the India squad for the Test series against England starting next month, he would find himself “among equals” in a leadership group. Kohli was unable to play in the final three games of the four-match series with Australia. India lost the first game with their captain, but won two of the next three without him to win the series in dramatic fashion.

Kohli took paternity leave after the birth of his first kid, but he is back in the squad for the first two Tests against England, which begin on February 5 in Chennai.

After Kohli returned home, Ajinkya Rahane took over as captain and orchestrated one of the greatest comeback victories in cricket history.

After being bowled out for 36 in the first Test, India roared back to chase 328 on the final day at the Gabba on Tuesday, completing the reversal in style.

Former England captain Michael Vaughan has advocated for Rahane to be given the captaincy on a regular basis.

According to the Times of India, Kohli’s status as captain is not under jeopardy.

When the 32-year-old returns, though, the article suggests that the India dressing room would be different.

Kohli will stay “first,” but he will be “among equals” in a leadership group that includes Rahane, Ravi Ashwin, Rohit Sharma, and Cheteshwar Pujara, each of whom has established his own “legacy” as a result of the Australia series.

Following India’s victory in Brisbane, head coach Ravi Shastri supported Kohli, claiming that the team would not be where it is now without his contributions.

Shastri added, “This team has incredible character and self-belief.”

“Even after being bowled out for 36 runs, the players believed they might recover.

“Virat [Kohli] left the squad as well, but he will never leave us. This is due to the fact that this squad was not formed throughout the series.

“Over the last five or six years, we’ve established this crew. And the character of Virat Kohli has rubbed off on.”Brinkwire Summary News”.
