At UFC 269, Jorge Masvidal will finally face British star Leon Edwards, after a major backstage brawl.
THE GRUDGE MATCH between Jorge Masvidal and Leon Edwards, a British fighter, will ultimately take place on December 11.
According to ESPN’s Ariel Helwani, the two will fight at UFC 269 in Las Vegas.
Since they were involved in a heated backstage dispute at a London event in March 2019, the conflict between the two adversaries has been three years in the making.
Both Masvidal and Edwards have maintained their verbal sparring since then, with the Englishman recently being dubbed a “coward” by Gamebred, but they have never fought inside the octagon.
The much-anticipated fight will now take place in two months.
The fight will be part of the main event of what is shaping up to be an exciting night of action.
Charles Oliveira will fight Dustin Poirier for the lightweight title at UFC 269.
The women’s bantamweight title will be decided between Amanda Nunes and Julianna Pena.

Masvidal and Edwards have now been added to the list.
The flyweight title fight between Brandon Moreno and Deiveson Figueiredo will now be rescheduled for UFC 270 on January 22.
Francis Ngannou will meet Ciryl Gane for the undisputed heavyweight title at the same event.
There will also be a match between Derek Brunson and Jared Cannonier.
