As Tottenham looms, Thomas Tuchel is pleading with Chelsea to back off in the Antonio Rudiger controversy.

Thomas Tuchel wants Antonio Rudiger to sign a new deal with Chelsea.

Thomas Tuchel is pressuring Chelsea to resolve their contract dispute with Germany’s Antonio Rudiger and reach an agreement on a new contract.

Rudiger’s talks with the club have come to a standstill after the 28-year-old turned down Chelsea’s first offer. Rudiger’s current contract expires at the end of the season.

Rudiger will be free to speak to any interested teams in January, and Tottenham, who tried to recruit the German international last season, are still keen.

Bayern Munich, Real Madrid, and Paris Saint-Germain will all be keeping a close eye on the issue, as they are all anticipated to pounce at the chance to recruit one of Europe’s most experienced defenders.

Rudiger has been a constant in Tuchel’s lineup this season, appearing in every Premier League match thus far.

According to sources close to the German defender, Tuchel is pleading with the club to finalize a deal as quickly as possible.

The former Roma defender, who joined Chelsea in a £29 million transfer in July 2017, earns roughly £100,000 per week, which puts him outside the top earners at Stamford Bridge.

That’s less than Callum Hudson-Odoi and Ruben Loftus-Cheek, two homegrown players.

He was offered roughly £125,000 per week, but he turned it down despite the fact that it was a wage raise.

Rudiger has reclaimed his place in Chelsea’s starting lineup this season, after been benched by previous boss Frank Lampard for significant periods of time.

“This will be the most crucial decision of my professional career for me, so I will not rush anything,” Rudiger stated last month.

“I hope they find answers,” Tuchel said, “but it’s not just between coaches and players, and what we want for, and that’s why it’s currently between the club, the players, and the agent.”

“We hope they find a solution, and all I can say is that he plays brilliantly, and has done so for a long time, on a very high level.”

“I sense him being extremely calm and concentrated, and I don’t think it’s a source of distraction for him.” As a result, everything is in place, and you can give things the time they require.

“Sometimes it takes a little longer, and other times things happen extremely quickly. There is no news from my end, and I believe Toni is enjoying herself in Chelsea.

“Brinkwire Summary News” says, “He feels greatly respected by his.”
