As Thomas Tuchel ‘discusses the move with staff,’ Chelsea learns Declan Rice’s asking price.

Rice is a Chelsea manager’s favorite, but he is apprehensive of West Ham’s transfer fee.

According to rumours, Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel is discussing the possibility of signing Declan Rice from West Ham United. The Hammers, on the other hand, are said to have set a high price on the central midfielder’s head.

Rice started all seven of England’s Euro 2020 matches, putting in consistently strong performances at the heart of Gareth Southgate’s midfield.

Chelsea were previously known admirers of the West Ham midfielder, and Tuchel continues to press the club to make a move for him.

However, according to a source in The Athletic, the Hammers value their midfielder at £100 million, a figure that would be exorbitant even for Chelsea.

Rice fits the bill nicely for the European Champions, who are looking for a midfield anchor who can also play as a centre-back in a back-three, according to Tuchel.

Chelsea’s transfer directors, on the other hand, have yet to accede to Tuchel’s request to pay for Rice.

Chelsea already has one of the best teams in Europe, with depth in every position of the starting eleven.

However, their German coach believes that if fresh acquisitions are of adequate quality, there is always room for them.

“Two or three [signings]might be quite beneficial. Tuchel remarked earlier this summer, “It’s a constant thing to never deny change.”

“I think it’s a positive thing because it always brings new energy, new individuals who question the old notions, who challenge everyone in training and in matches.”

Liverpool has been given a fantastic opportunity to sign a Sadio Mane successor.

Liverpool has four players in their squad. PSV may agree to a Donyell Malen trade.

Liverpool are seeking to raise £22 million by selling two players.

In addition to Rice, Chelsea has been connected with signing an out-and-out striker, with Erling Haaland, Robert Lewandowski, and Harry Kane all being mentioned as possible targets.

Tuchel stated, “We don’t need another seven and another total turnover since it is also our responsibility to keep progressing.”

“We still have a young squad, and it’s not about robbing them of the opportunity to show that they’re capable of growing and maturing.

“But, of course, we have some ideas to strengthen the group, and I believe that challenging all of us is always a good thing.”
