As Chelsea prepares a new Romelu Lukaku proposal, Marina Granovskaia offers her thoughts on Jules Kounde.
Chelsea has been connected with a number of high-profile transfers in the final weeks of the summer transfer season.
According to sources, Chelsea director Marina Granovskaia still regards Jules Kounde as a top priority signing this summer. At least one bid for Romelu Lukaku has been rejected by Chelsea in recent days. The Blues are hoping to get Lukaku back to Stamford Bridge after a ten-year absence.
Inter has turned down Chelsea’s bid of £85 million plus Marcos Alonso.
The Blues, on the other hand, are expected to return with a better offer to put the Serie A giants to the test.
Chelsea are preparing an offer, according to transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano.
Chelsea’s objective, according to Romano, is to sign Sevilla’s Kounde.
Last month, Kounde emerged as a key target for the west Londoners.
Chelsea and Kounde have agreed on personal terms, according to Romano.
However, a fee for the France international has still to be agreed upon with Sevilla.
“Jules Kounde deal update: Chelsea are in advanced talks with Sevilla and Kurt Zouma might be involved in the negotiation,” Romano tweeted on July 27.

“Personal terms for Kounde have been agreed upon till 2026.”
Frank Leboeuf, a former Chelsea defender, believes Kounde has a bright career ahead of him.
However, Leboeuf warns that if his French compatriot joins the Blues, he should expect to spend more time on the bench than he is used to.
“[Kounde] is a wonderful player, yeah,” he told ESPN FC. He’s got it all. He’s a fighter who never gives up, and he’s also a great ball player.
“He’s got it all, and he’s definitely [the]future.” So it could be an opportunity for Chelsea to sign him for next season rather than this season.
“I have no idea what Kounde intends to do with his life.
“I don’t know if he’s ready to be on the bench more than he thinks he’ll be, but it’s up to him.”
“However, if he comes to Stamford Bridge, it will be a terrific signing for Chelsea.
