Arsenal offers two players in exchange for Lautaro Martinez, but Inter Milan counters with a counter-proposal.

Arsenal has reportedly submitted a transfer bid for Lautaro Martinez as part of their summer makeover.

Arsenal is said to have offered Inter Milan two players in an attempt to entice striker Lautaro Martinez away from the Serie A champions.

Following a poor 2020-21 season, Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta is overseeing a massive makeover of his squad.

Arsenal and Adidas have unveiled their official 2021/22 home jersey, which is based on the club’s motto of “Arsenal for everyone.”

Several senior players are expected to be replaced by newcomers as the Spaniard aims to improve on his Premier League eighth-place result.

For the first time in over a quarter-century, Arsenal will not compete in a major European competition next season.

Arsenal may have been a difficult sell for potential players this summer due to their terrible season and lack of European football, but they have already spent over £70 million on Ben White, Albert Sambi Lokonga, and Nuno Tavares.

According to the Telegraph, a forward is expected to be the next position targeted for improvement, with Inter’s Martinez on Arsenal’s shortlist.

According to writer Pete O’Rourke of the Football Terrace podcast, an initial bid contained a player-exchange agreement that would see Hector Bellerin and Alexandre Lacazette transfer to the San Siro.

He goes on to say that Inter will only accept a £65 million cash deal and that neither of the players are wanted.

Inter won their first top-flight title since their all-conquering 2010 team, with Martinez scoring 17 goals.

Arsenal has just just paid £50 million on Brighton defender White, so it’s uncertain whether they’d be willing to pay the fee up front.

When he agreed to a deal last week, the 23-year-old became the club’s first headline signing of the summer.

He arrived at the Emirates Stadium alongside Lokonga and Tavares as part of Arteta and technical director Edu’s makeover.

Lokonga, a midfielder, has joined from Anderlecht for roughly £15 million, while left-back Tavares has joined from Benfica for £8 million.

Both players are 21 years old and are seen as long-term contributors to the team.

Despite signing Lokonga, Arsenal is still linked with a number of midfielders.

Brendan Rodgers, the manager of Leicester City, has been forced to deny any links with the Foxes’ star player. “Brinkwire News in Condensed Form.”
