Arsenal braced for second defensive raid as Leeds plan transfer of Calum Chambers in addition to Rob Holding

LEEDS UNITED are reportedly set to move for Arsenal outcast Calum Chambers.

TeamTalk claims Marcelo Bielsa is targeting the centre-back after Brighton rejected his £25million bid for Ben White.

SunSport understands the former Leeds loanee will not be leaving the Seagulls this summer.

And it means Chambers, 25, has become the centre of attention for Championship title winner Bielsa.

The former Southampton youngster, who can also play at right-back, featured just 14 times in the Premier League last season.

And Chambers has apparently been put up for sale at just £12m after being told he is not in Mikel Arteta’s plans this term.

Chambers could be joined at Elland Road by Gunners team-mate Rob Holding, who is also expected to depart the Emirates before the end of the transfer window.

Meanwhile, Leeds are closing in on a club-record £35m deal for Spain striker Rodrigo.

The Valencia star is due to have a medical after he was persuaded to join Leeds by director of football Victor Orta and owner Andrea Radrizzani.

However, SunSport understands Bielsa will miss out on a move for Rangers star Ryan Kent.

Steven Gerrard is still expecting an improved bid from Leeds after rejecting a £10m offer.

But Kent has told the Liverpool legend that he is determined to remain in Glasgow and try to halt Celtic’s quest for ten in a row.
