Arsenal allegedly offered a Barcelona player in an attempt to raise finances following Lionel Messi’s departure.

According to rumours, Arsenal has been granted the opportunity to sign a Barcelona goalkeeper.

Arsenal has been offered the chance to sign Barcelona goalkeeper Neto, according to reports. Tottenham has also been offered Neto, although their goalkeeping needs are not as as urgent as Arsenal’s. Throughout the summer transfer window, the Gunners were on the search for a new goalkeeper.

Arsenal and Adidas have unveiled their official 2021/22 home jersey, which is based on the club’s motto of “Arsenal for everyone.”

Arsenal may have to start the season with Runar Alex Runarsson as their backup goalkeeper.

With Runarsson seeming out of his depth at times last season, Bernd Leno is almost assured to keep his No. 1 spot.

Arthur Okonkwo, a graduate of the Arsenal Academy, has been promoted, although the Gunners only intend to use him as a third-choice goalkeeper.

Aaron Ramsdale of Sheffield United remains the club’s top target, but the Blades are demanding at least £30 million for the England hopeful.

Neto, a Barcelona star, was linked with Arsenal earlier in the transfer window.

And it looks that the La Liga heavyweights are aiming to gather finances as swiftly as possible following Lionel Messi’s unexpected exit this week.

Due to financial constraints in the Spanish league, Barcelona was unable to sign Messi.

Duncan Castles, speaking on Reach PLC’s Transfer Window podcast, claims that Barcelona is eager to shed as many players as possible.

Neto’s agent, Kia Joorabchian, has made a bid to the Gunners for the 32-year-old.

“[Barca] has been attempting to transfer players out,” Castles added. They haven’t been able to close any substantial deals.

“Probably the most notable are Trincao’s loan to Wolves and Junior Firpo’s €15 million sale to Leeds.

“They have Philippe Coutinho and Neto, who Kia Joorabchian is currently attempting to send elsewhere.

“Neto is the reserve goalkeeper for Barcelona, and some of you may not even know what position he plays in.

“Joorabchian has proposed him as a signing for this season to Tottenham and Barcelona.

“As a reserve goalkeeper, he earns a net salary of €4.5 million.”

Joe Hart was permitted to leave Tottenham earlier this week to join Celtic.

Spurs, on the other hand, have already signed a goalkeeper. “Brinkwire News in Condensed Form.”
