Angry Real Madrid fans scream “f*** you” and hurl a pen towards Gareth Bale.

Gareth Bale, a former Tottenham and Southampton player, is due to miss the next three weeks after suffering an injury while on international duty with Wales – and Real Madrid fans aren’t happy. As he left Real Madrid’s training field on Friday, he was yelled at and had a marker pen thrown at him.

As he was leaving the Valdebebas facilities ahead of Real’s game against Grenada this weekend, cries of “F*** you” could be heard.

Bale will miss the encounter after suffering yet another injury while on international duty with Wales.

That appears to have enraged some Los Blancos supporters, who presented him with both barrels – as well as a marker pen – as he left the club’s training facility.

The 32-year-old former Tottenham star suffered a calf injury against Belarus on his 100th cap last Saturday and will be out for the next three weeks.

He also missed the 1-1 draw with Belgium in midweek, which clinched a home World Cup play-off semi-final for Rob Page’s team in March.

Bale has had another up-and-down season with Real, having not played since the end of August due to a hamstring injury acquired in training.

He has played more times for Wales this season than for Real Madrid, a fact that has enraged fans, as evidenced by Friday’s events at Real’s training complex.

Bale has often been criticized by Spanish analysts of prioritizing his nation over his club.

After the Dragons qualified for Euro 2020 in 2019, the former Southampton player enraged fans by waving a flag that read: “Wales. Golf. Madrid. That’s the order.” Bale was allegedly making fun of Real Madrid earlier this week, according to Marca journalist Jose Luis Hurtado, because of his lack of enthusiasm for the club compared to his availability for his country.

“Bale is poking fun of,” Hurtado wrote. It’s not a new concept. He’s been doing it for a long time…

“It’s unclear whether he’s a golfer who also plays football in his spare time or whether he’s a footballer who also plays golf.”
