Andy Murray has three reasons for wanting to teach Emma Raducanu in the future.
Following her victory at the US Open, Emma Raducanu is looking for a new coach.
According to sources, Andy Murray has three reasons to become Emma Raducanu’s future coach and guide her to more Grand Slam glory. Raducanu and her coach, Andrew Richardson, ended their relationship just two months after Raducanu’s amazing US Open victory.
After starting the competition as a qualifier, the adolescent sensation overcame Leylah Fernandez in a thrilling final at Flushing Meadows.
Raducanu won all ten of her matches without dropping a set, becoming the first British woman to win a Grand Slam since Virginia Wade in 1977 at Wimbledon.
In the aftermath, though, the 18-year-old made the decision to separate ways with Richardson.
Raducanu had known the instructor since she was ten years old, and he had just recently taken over as her coach after she parted ways with Nigel Sears following her Wimbledon triumphs in July.
“Obviously, you’ve had a lot of experience with your group. When justifying her decision, Raducanu noted, “It’s difficult to have that conversation with anyone.”
“However, I require someone with professional tour expertise. I believe it is exactly what I require. And, right now, because I’m so new to it, I really need someone who has already been through it to guide me.
“At this point in my career, after playing some of the best players in the world, I realized I really need someone who has WTA Tour experience at the highest levels, which means I’m looking for someone who has been there and knows what it takes.”
The debate over who would succeed Richardson has heated up, but former world No. 1 Murray has emerged as a leading contender.
According to the Telegraph, the Brit has three reasons to work with Raducanu. The first is that the 34-year-old, who has struggled with injuries in recent years, has dealt with the pressures of a national audience before.
Raducanu, like Murray, is the most popular tennis player in the United Kingdom.
Another reason Murray was chosen to coach Raducanu is because he is a major supporter of the women’s game. The other is that he has expressed an interest in continuing in the sport once he retires.
Murray has already stated that he will be available to Raducanu for advise if she ever requires it. He, on the other hand, was adamant. “Brinkwire News Summary.”
