Amad Diallo, a Manchester United star, is set for an 18-month loan spell away from Old Trafford.

Amad Diallo was frozen out of Manchester United’s squad over the summer as the Red Devils bolstered their attacking options, and it now appears that a loan move abroad is back on the cards.

Manchester United winger Amad Diallo is set to join Feyenoord on a long-term loan.

The Dutch club wants to sign the Ivory Coast teenager in January for an 18-month loan, with the option to buy him outright if he performs well.

Diallo, 19, joined Manchester United in January after a £19 million transfer from Atalanta in Italy.

However, injury issues have slowed his progress, and he now appears to be surplus to requirements under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

Diallo has not played in any competition this season, and United may be willing to let him go abroad while his thigh problem is resolved.

However, whether they would be willing to sell him in the future is debatable, as the club still believes he has enormous potential.

The former Atalanta player has been left out of the first-team this season after the Red Devils spent £73 million and £19.1 million on attackers Jadon Sancho and Cristiano Ronaldo, respectively.

At this point, the Northwest club was willing to let the player go on loan, but Diallo’s agreed transfer to Feyenoord was derailed due to an injury he sustained in his final training session.

Diallo will now move to Rotterdam on a temporary basis.

“Gasperini helped me very, very much indeed,” the Ivorian winger recently said of his former coach Gian Gasperini and the impact he had on his career.

“It was a big one against Udinese [in my Serie A debut].”

He’s a wonderful individual.

He was instrumental in my development, and I owe him a great debt of gratitude for the years I spent with him.

“I’m still in contact with a few of my teammates, and I’m excited to see them.”

I believe it will be a fantastic day.”

Last season, Diallo appeared in eight games for Manchester United, scoring once.
