Alphonso Davies of Bayern Munich praised Manchester United’s Luke Shaw, saying, “He’s better!”

Luke Shaw of Manchester United is undoubtedly one of the top left-backs in the world right now.

After a few of his TikTok followers mentioned so during a live session on Wednesday, Bayern Munich defender Alphonso Davies acknowledged that Luke Shaw is a better player than him. Since the start of last season, the Manchester United left-back has established himself as one of the best in the Premier League, and he has played a key role for England at Euro 2020.

Adidas and Manchester United have unveiled their official 2021/22 home jersey, which features a modern take on the club’s traditional designs.

Shaw made 47 appearances in all competitions for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side last season, earning him the title of Player of the Year as a thank-you for his services.

With his marauding runs down the left flank and astute defensive qualities, he has established himself as a critical cog in the Old Trafford engine, helping United complete the season as Premier League runners-up behind Manchester City.

Since joining the club from Southampton, the 26-year-old has struggled at times, particularly during Jose Mourinho’s tenure as manager of the Red Devils.

He now appears to be living up to his lofty potential, and he has no intention of looking back as he attempts to help United go one better next season and win the Premier League for the first time in nine years.

Shaw’s form has prompted many to regard him as one of the top left-backs on the planet, with the likes of Davies, who, despite his youth, has already proven his world-class skills with Bayern.

Fans on TikTok queried the 20-year-old about the United star, implying that he was ‘clear’ at the top of the order, much to Davies’ chagrin.

“I only saw one [comment]that stated, ‘Luke Shaw is clear,’” the Canadian ace explained. “Could you please explain it to me? “I’m curious as to what that means.”

When Davies was told that ‘clear’ meant ‘better than himself,’ he responded, “Oh good, I see it now, it implies he’s better.”

“I mean, he is!” says the narrator. He’s a fantastic player.”

With an ankle injury, the Bayern defender was pulled out of Canada’s Gold Cup squad, but he hopes to recover to full strength. “Brinkwire News in Condensed Form.”
