Alexandre Lacazette is waiting until summer for contract negotiations, says Mikel Arteta

After bagging a brace in Saturday’s 4-0 victory over West Brom, the striker has scored five goals in his last four games.

“In total, Lacazette has scored nine times this season, and Gunners manager Mikel Arteta announced his future will be decided at the end of the season with his deal due to expire in 18 months. In terms of his deal, we haven’t talked about it. I’m very happy with the way he plays, the goals he scores, and the form and enthusiasm he has at the moment. When he arrived from Lyon for £ 46.5 million in 2017, Lacazette was Arsenal’s then-record signing, and in 146 appearances for the club he scored 57 goals. His second half brace at The Hawthorns helped the Gunners step up to 11tt. He’s a shy boy, but in the club, he represents all of us, all of the ideals we want to put in place. He can always improve, but he’s a real threat in attack right now and he’s been really good defensively. “He can always improve, but right now he’s a real threat in attack and defensively he’s been really solid. ” He says the right things when he talks, and again, he is just what we’re looking for, and I’m very glad to have him on the team.
