This year at Wimbledon, Matteo Berrettini was victorious on the court. On Centre Court later this afternoon, the 25-year-old from Rome will meet Novak Djokovic in a bid to win the Grand Slam singles championship this year.
Mr Berrettini, the No. 7 seed, has advanced to the finals this year in what will be his most important encounter to date.
“I have no words, really,” the No. 9 player in the world stated before of his match.
“I don’t think I ever fantasized of this because it was too much of a dream for me,” he continued. I’m just overjoyed. That, I believe, is it.”
Today’s Wimbledon men’s final will begin at 2 p.m., but who will be cheering Mr Berrettini on from the stands?
While her partner, Matteo Berrettini, competes at Wimbledon, Ajla Tomjlanovic has been cheering him on.
Since 2019, the couple has been together.
Felix Auger-Aliassime, a fellow tennis player who is dating Tomjlanovic’s cousin, is a close friend of the pair.

Ajla Tomjlanovic is a professional tennis player, just like her boyfriend.
Tomjlanovic, an Australian tennis player of Croatian descent, earned a career-high ranking of 39 in 2019.
Tomjlanovic represented Croatia until 2017, however after competing for Australia at the 2014 US Open, she shifted her allegiances to Australia.
Despite obtaining permanent residency, she was still required to represent Croatia in non-Grand Slam competitions until 2018, as she did not receive full Australian citizenship until then.
Tomjlanovic isn’t the only professional tennis player he’s dated.
She was previously married to a fellow Australian tennis player. Nick Kyrgios is a tennis player from Australia.
They were dating for two years until splitting up in 2017.
Tomjlanovic and Berrettini look to be on a roll, as the two players are frequently spotted cheering one other on during games.
Berrettini admitted that he is concerned for his partner when she plays, but added, “I feel ten times more agitated watching her match than when I’m playing my match.”
“As a result, I enjoy it when we play at the same time.”
