Ahead of Celtic and Rangers, Fulham will win the Scottish premiership, says Jamie O’Hara

Jamie O’Hara has launched a spectacular attack on Scottish soccer, claiming that Fulham will win the Premiership title ahead of Celtic and Rangers.

The former Spurs midfielder also insisted all Old Firm sides would “struggle” south of the border if they ever made the decision to step up to the Premier League.

Speaking on talkSPORT’s Sports Breakfast, O’Hara said, “Yeah, I think he (Gerrard) has done a great job. He’s done a fantastic job, I’ve obviously watched him this season because the comment I came out with underlined that.

“So I decided I’d better get on with Scottish soccer. Celtic weren’t successful at all the way they played.

“In terms of consistency, I don’t think it’s anywhere near the Premier League. I think both teams will fail to survive in the Premier League, they will struggle.

“Would they last for a season, are they better than West Brom, Sheffield United and Fulham? I don’t know.

“I think Fulham will win the league in Scotland. I look at it this way, I played with (Moussa) Dembele, who left Fulham and went to Celtic. He was nice at Fulham, he was great, scored a few goals.

“He went to Celtic and he was amazing. I look at that and I look at the requirements…”

Rangers hero Ally McCoist shot back, saying, “Well, what about the flip side – what about the guys who came up and didn’t make it? You have Shane Duffy, and he failed.”

O’Hara responded by saying, “He’s been through a bad injury, and his career is at the end. Moving to Scotland is like going to MLS! “
