Harry Kane, the captain of England, has received a lot of praise from Bayern Munich manager Uli Hoeness, who has stated that he will not be leaving this summer.
With 146 goals in 147 games since joining the German powerhouses from Tottenham in 2023 for £86.4 million, Kane, 32, has been a revelation.
In 2025–2026, he was in outstanding form and finished the season with a hat-trick in the second half as Bayern defeated Stuttgart to win the German Cup for the first time since 2020.
Due to his achievements, Kane has scored 61 goals in 51 games this season. Bayern also won the league, thus over his three seasons with the club, he has won four trophies.
The vocal Hoeness, an honorary president, also praised Kane’s influence in Bavaria after the game, telling German TV Das Erste that “Harry Kane is the best transfer we’ve ever made.”
Some have referred to Harry Kane as “the best transfer” Bayern Munich has ever made.
Uli Hoeness, the honorary president of Bayern, stated that Kane will remain.
Given that his contract expires at the end of the upcoming season, Kane’s performance has naturally drawn notice throughout Europe, and there has been conjecture regarding his future.
Reports of a potential return to the Premier League have surfaced, and Barcelona has reportedly expressed interest in taking Robert Lewandowski’s place.
Hoeness, however, dismissed that comment and even made a barely concealed jab at the Catalan giants.
“FC Bayern is a buying club, not a selling club,” he continued.
When asked if he was certain Kane would remain with the team, Hoeness said, “Yes, and Barcelona have no money anyway.”
Following the triumph, Kane was questioned about his own future and possible new contract, but the England player appeared equally at ease.
“There’s no panic, but it’s not the time to talk about that,” he stated.
We still have a World Cup to play, and we wanted to continue talking until the end of the season. However, everyone is aware of how much I like being here. It’s a calm situation.
Given that Kane is the second-highest scorer in Premier League history, there has always been a sense that he will return at some point.
The 32-year-old’s 213 goals are only surpassed by Alan Shearer’s 260, but in an October speech, Kane expressed his contentment in Germany and downplayed the likelihood of returning.
Reports that Kane will eventually return to the Premier League have been persistent. “In terms of staying longer, I could definitely see that,” Kane stated. Although I haven’t had those discussions with Bayern yet, I would be open to having an open discussion if they came up.
It obviously relies on what we accomplish as a team over the course of the next year or so. I am not thinking about anything else because we are at such a wonderful time.
“I’m not sure about the Premier League. When I first left to go to Bayern, I would have assured you that I would return if you had asked. After being there for a few years, I would say that things have somewhat improved, but I wouldn’t say I would never return.
“I am fully all in with Bayern,” he went on. If there was a conversation about extending then we will see, but I have still got this season and another season. It’s not like I’m in my final year, and there’s no panic.
“I am at ease, I adore the manager at Bayern, and I am excited to see what we can accomplish as long as we are improving and I am improving.”
