After Tyson Fury’s court ruling, Oleksandr Usyk’s promoter is in talks to fight Anthony Joshua.

EXCLUSIVE: Alexander Krassyuk, Oleksandr Usyk’s promoter, will meet with Eddie Hearn this morning to discuss the possibility of a bout with Anthony Joshua, following reports that the undisputed heavyweight world title battle with Tyson Fury is in jeopardy.

Alexander Krassyuk, Oleksandr Usyk’s promoter, is meeting with Eddie Hearn this morning in an attempt to land his client a fight with Anthony Joshua after arbitrator Daniel Weinstein ordered that Tyson Fury must fight Deontay Wilder for the third time before September 15th. The civil litigation that has been simmering in the background of Joshua and Fury’s undisputed heavyweight title fight might potentially derail plans for the August 14 showdown in Saudi Arabia, preventing the Gypsy King from fulfilling his contract to fight Wilder again in the following months.

However, retired judge Weinstein decided that both combatants might agree to a deadline extension, allowing Fury to go forward with his plans to fight Wilder provided he has paid the latter a large seven-figure step-aside fee.

Despite this, Krassyuk has moved rapidly to attempt and secure the fight with Joshua after receiving many texts this morning in Kiev notifying him of yesterday night’s development.

As the WBO mandatory challenger, the former undisputed cruiserweight champion is next in line to face Joshua, and he believes the bout is now ready to be made.

“The first thing I noticed when I woke up this morning was a slew of texts on my phone from all over the world, all expressing the same thing: Fury vs. AJ is off. Krassyuk told Express Sport, “It’s off.”

“In terms of Usyk, that is debatable. Eddie and I have already exchanged SMS this morning, so I’ll call him in an hour.

“It appears that we are in for a war. We decided to meet in an hour when the situation will be clearer.

“WBO need Usyk, and the only reason they approved the interim was the massive unification between Fury and Joshua.

“And if the fight is called off, there are no additional obstacles to overcome, and Joshua must focus on his mandatory.”

The WBO scheduled an interim bout between Usyk and. “Brinkwire Summary News” when Hearn told the governing organizations that Joshua vs. Fury will take place at the start of the year.
