After the Wimbledon star left in tears, Novak Djokovic offered a heartfelt gift to Denis Shapovalov.

Denis Shapovalov was overcome with emotion after losing to Denis Shapovalov in the Wimbledon semi-finals.

Novak Djokovic made a secret gesture to Denis Shapovalov after their Wimbledon semi-final match on Friday, according to Denis Shapovalov. With the 22-year-old playing in his first major semi-final in his young career, Shapovalov was expected to be Djokovic’s hardest test at Wimbledon to far.

And that was clear from the start, as Shapovalov took the first break of the match.

Djokovic recomposed himself and returned to take the first set, demonstrating his class and experience attitude.

Each set, however, was a nail-biter, with Shapovalov putting Djokovic to the test on practically every point.

Shapovalov appeared to have enough to go back into the match at one point, but Djokovic simply had too much for the young tennis player.

In three sets, the 19-time Grand Slam champion secured the victory.

In heartbreaking scenes, Shapovalov exited the court in tears, while Djokovic showed respect for his opponent in his on-court interview.

“I’d like everyone to give him a standing ovation for today and the last three weeks,” he remarked.

“This was a Grand Slam semi-final, and you could tell he was emotional.”

Shapovalov quipped in his post-match press conference that he would love to have Djokovic as his tutor in the future.

He laughed as he responded, “Yes, I’d be extremely glad if he could be my mentor since that would imply he stopped playing.”

Shapovalov then spoke about the words of encouragement he received from Djokovic off the court, saying that the world No. 1 is underappreciated in his opinion.

“No, without a doubt, he’s a fantastic individual. I don’t think he gets enough credit,” he continued.

“Even in the dressing room, he came up to me and whispered a few words. It means a lot to me. He is under no obligation to do so.

“He simply told me he understands how terrible things are right now for me. He assured me that everything will work out.

“It means a lot to me, especially coming from someone like him. He is not obligated to do this, as I have stated.

“It simply goes to show what kind of person he is. It’s just incredibly good to hear from him for someone like me.

“I have a great deal of admiration for him. “Brinkwire Summary News” says he’s certain.
