After the Wimbledon final, Sue Barker was left purring at Novak Djokovic’s gracious act.
Sue Barker praised Novak Djokovic for giving his racquet to a young fan after his Wimbledon victory.
Sue Barker hailed Novak Djokovic for a wonderful gesture following his historic Wimbledon victory.
The world No. 1 won his sixth Wimbledon title in four sets over Matteo Berrettini.
And, just moments after winning a record-tying 20th Grand Slam title, the champion handed his racket to a small admirer.
“He got rid of most of his wardrobe on the other side!” the BBC presenter exclaimed. There’s a small kid there, and she’s adorable. Isn’t that simply lovely? That is truly unique.
“Congratulations to Novak Djokovic. On the court, he’s a gentleman.”
“He’s got a fair amount of practice at speeches after these 20 Grand Slam wins!” Tim Henman told the BBC of Djokovic’s performance at the tournament.
“He’s had a fantastic tournament. He was a clear favorite when he entered the competition.
“With Roger Federer, we didn’t know what to expect.
“However, Novak has turned up an absolute masterpiece over the last two weeks, dropping only two sets to Jack Draper and the first set today. This competition was undoubtedly won by the finest player.”
