Following the news of Cristiano Ronaldo’s comeback, Manchester United legend Rio Ferdinand has spoken out about the Premier League title.
Manchester City remain the Premier League’s team to beat this season, according to Manchester United icon Rio Ferdinand. Despite United agreeing to a deal to bring Cristiano Ronaldo back to Old Trafford, this is still the case.

“You want it to be intriguing; you don’t want it to be a one-horse race; you want a lot of teams competing heading into the new year, and I believe we’ll have that this year.”

Ferdinand was instrumental in securing Ronaldo’s return to United, reaching out to the 36-year-old on Thursday after learning of City’s interest.
“I was talking to him and messaging him about it,” he added. Our bond dates back to the days when we used to play together. Since then, we’ve remained close.
“The scenario arose on Thursday night and manifested on Friday, so it was very, very fascinating, but it all worked out in the end.
“As soon as I and a few others at the club heard that he could be joining Manchester City, we knew he’d never wear a sky blue kit. It wasn’t going to happen.
