After Jurgen Klopp teased additional moves, Liverpool has a five-man transfer shortlist.

Ibrahima Konate has only been at Liverpool since the start of the summer transfer window.

According to sources, Liverpool are keeping tabs on five players as Jurgen Klopp looks to add to his squad before the transfer deadline this month. Since welcoming Ibrahima Konate through the door at Anfield earlier this summer, the Reds have been silent in the transfer market.

The 22-year-old signed a five-year contract with Liverpool after the Reds agreed to satisfy RB Leipzig’s £34 million release clause.

After last season’s Premier League title campaign was thwarted by a devastating injury problem, Konate’s signing will provide the Reds with much-needed depth at the back.

With less than a week until the start of the new season, the Frenchman remains Liverpool’s only summer signing.

Over the course of this month, a number of areas, including central midfield and striker positions, appear to be in need of improvement.

Liverpool may be looking to bring in a fresh creative outlet following the free move of Georginio Wijnaldum.

Meanwhile, following Roberto Firmino’s poor goal-scoring form last season, the Reds may present him with some fresh competition at the top of the pitch.

According to Goal, Liverpool’s recruitment squad has already identified a number of players in their pursuit of a revived Premier League title campaign next season.

Jarrod Bowen of West Ham United is rumoured to be one of the names being considered at Anfield, with Klopp reportedly keen on bringing in at least one new attacker before the transfer season closes.

Harvey Barnes of Leicester City and Pedro Neto of Wolves have both been linked with the Reds in recent months.

Florian Neuhaus of Borussia Monchengladbach is said to be a possibility in the middle of the park.

The 24-year-old has recently been linked with a move to Liverpool, with the six-time European winners reportedly keeping a close eye on his position in Germany.

Yves Bissouma of Brighton and Hove Albion is also said to have a number of admirers at Anfield, but the chances of a successful transfer for his services is unknown.

Liverpool will almost certainly not be content with just one acquisition this summer if they are to beat Manchester City to the Premier League title this season. “Brinkwire News in Condensed Form.”
