After Floyd Mayweather’s notorious pre-fight theatrics, Logan Paul cautioned him not to ‘p***** off’ him.
Next month, Logan Paul and Floyd Mayweather will square off in the ring.
YouTuber Logan Paul has been told that he will be up against a “p***** off” Floyd Mayweather in their upcoming exhibition battle. On June 6, Mayweather, the undefeated former middleweight world champion, will face social media star Paul at the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami.
This brawl, like many others involving ‘YouTubers,’ has had a spectacular and contentious build-up.
Last month, Paul’s brother Jake, who is also a professional boxer, ripped Mayweather’s hat off his head during a fight, resulting in a nasty brawl.
The event did not sit well with ‘Money,’ and his training partner Denis Douglin confesses that the incident has caused Mayweather to train for this fight as if it were any other.
Douglin told the Betway Insider blog, “I think Floyd thought taking his hat was insulting.”
“From what I witnessed at the gym, it seemed to have lighted a fire under him. I was quite taken aback. That, I believe, had something to do with the Paul brothers p*****g him off.
“Floyd is one of the best in the world, but I didn’t expect him to practice as hard as he did for this. But now that they’ve p****d him off, he’s stepping up his game. Floyd’s performance today was outstanding.
“I was completely taken aback. To stay active, I was expecting him to do a cookie-cutter workout, shadow box, and spar someone really hard. That’s exactly what I was hoping for.
“However, when I arrived at the gym about midnight, the excitement and atmosphere felt like a real Mayweather fight. Floyd looked fantastic, and he didn’t seem to lose a beat.
“They were still cocky, having a good time, and being cunning – it was a sight to behold. He had a lot of energy as I watched him spar, pound the bag, and work on the pads. Just seeing that taught me a lot.”
Although Douglin concedes that the passion for Mayweather isn’t as strong as it would be for a world title battle, he claims that his training partner wants to teach Paul a lesson.
Douglin commented, “Floyd was gonna be the best in the world and he retired.” “So he’s not treating this bout with Logan Paul like a legitimate battle against Errol Spence.”Brinkwire Summary News”.
