After failing to secure transfer deals, four Premier League stars have been left in limbo.

After failing to secure transfer deals, four Premier League stars have been left in limbo.

On Tuesday, the transfer window closed, and many stars were left unregistered for the season.

Despite the huge amounts of money poured at players throughout the transfer season, there are still some players who are dumb.

Although teams were struggling to find suitors for their neglected talents as the clock wound down, record agreements such as Jack Grealish’s British record transfer to Manchester City and Romelu Lukaku’s mega-money move to Chelsea were noteworthy.

And, with deals being done right up until the deadline, many Premier League players were able to make their transfer.

Express Sport looks at four players whose careers are in jeopardy after failing to secure a transfer away from their current club.

Barkley is a forgotten figure in west London, with the midfielder’s final appearance for the Blues scheduled for September 2020.

With Chelsea’s recent signing of Saul Niguez, the Liverpool-born midfielder appears to have even less of a chance of breaking into the first team.

Burnley made a last-minute loan proposal for Barkley on Tuesday, but the Clarets couldn’t afford a deal for the out-of-favour midfielder, who earns £100,000 per week.

Phil Jones is another forgotten Manchester United player, having not appeared for the club since an FA Cup tie in January 2020.

And, with two years remaining on his deal, it’s unclear what will happen to the Preston native’s career.

At Old Trafford, Harry Maguire, Raphael Varane, Victor Lindelof, and Eric Bailly are all ahead of him in the pecking order, and if he doesn’t go soon, he’ll have wasted another two years of his career.

DON’T MISS OUT Nuno supports Tottenham’s position in the Premier League row that is impacting Liverpool. Anthony Martial of Manchester United has reportedly turned down a last-minute deadline day transfer offer. Cristiano Ronaldo is a Portuguese footballer who plays for Real Madrid number of the shirt: Edinson Cavani of Manchester United confirms Jadon Sancho’s choice.

This time, he’s not so much a forgotten man, but with Cristiano Ronaldo’s arrival, it’s unclear where Martial will fit into United’s plans.

With Ronaldo expected to start ahead of Martial at striker and left wing, as well as Edinson Cavani, the Frenchman will fight for playing time in United’s assault.

Marcus Rashford will also be back from “Brinkwire Summary News” soon.
