After failed talks with PSG, Real Madrid is expected to agree on a free transfer for Kylian Mbappe in January.
Kylian Mbappe will not join Real Madrid before the transfer deadline of 11 p.m. this evening.
According to rumours, Paris Saint-Germain star Kylian Mbappe will sign a pre-contract agreement with Real Madrid in January. The 22-year-old had been extensively connected with a move to the Spanish capital before of this evening’s transfer deadline, but he is now expected to stay in Paris until the end of the season, when his current contract expires.
Real Madrid, a long-time admirer of Mbappe, has been attempting to buy him in recent days and is said to have had an initial approach of £137 million rejected by PSG last week.
The 13-time European champions were prepared to fight tooth and nail to sign the forward, but the chance of a quick deal appears to be dead in the water as the crucial deadline approaches.
According to Sky Sports News, the La Liga powers have retracted a last-minute £189 million bid for Mbappe, who will now join them on a free transfer ahead of next season.
