After capturing pole for the British Grand Prix, Max Verstappen has a wish for Lewis Hamilton.
The first row of the British Grand Prix will be occupied by Max Verstappen and Lewis Hamilton.
Max Verstappen says his primary desire for the British Grand Prix is to have a good fight with Lewis Hamilton, the seven-time world champion. In the Drivers’ Championship, the Red Bull star is hoping to expand his 32-point advantage over Hamilton.
And he’ll have the best chance of winning the race because he’ll start from pole position.
During Saturday’s sprint race, Hamilton was late out of the gate, giving Verstappen the opportunity to take the lead before the first corner.
After that, the 23-year-old did not look back as he dashed to the chequered flag.
After clinching pole position, Verstappen commented, “All I want is a nice battle with Lewis.”
“It’s difficult to pass around here,” he said, “but we got off to a good start and then attempted to proceed at our own pace.”
“You could tell we were putting a lot of pressure on each other because the tyres were scorching a lot at the end of the race. That was something we had to deal with all the way to the end.
“In the end, I’m pleased to take the three points – it’s a little amusing to hear you got pole!
“And tomorrow should be a thrilling battle,” says the narrator.
Hamilton finished second, and he was sad to find himself in second place behind Red Bull once again.
“Today, I gave it everything,” he remarked. “I have to show a lot of love to all of these followers; I can’t tell you how much energy I’m getting from everyone; their support means the world to me.
“I’m sad I wasn’t able to win the Sprint, but we’ll try again tomorrow.”
“I struck the target right away, but losing from P1 is never ideal. Tomorrow, we’ll aim to turn the bad into a positive.
“Every point matters, yet I’m relieved to be done. We’ll battle again tomorrow, but they’re simply so strong; he was pulling away throughout the race. There was nothing I could do to keep him in my grasp.
“We have to attempt to go ahead in some way. I wish we could redo the beginning, but fortunately, we have another chance tomorrow.
“I’m not sure how it felt to be a spectator for the supporters. In terms of yesterday, I believe this weekend has been fantastic.”Brinkwire Summary News”.
