After a loan spell in Inverness, Rangers kid Kai Kennedy returns to Ibrox – future uncertain

After his loan to Inverness, Rangers youngster Kai Kennedy returned to Ibrox.

In early December, the tricky playmaker spent three months in the Highlands, playing 10 matches and scoring his only goal away from the Queen of the South.

His future is now in limbo in Glasgow and it is not yet clear if Rangers are going to pursue another loan deal for the 18-year-old youngster. For his time there, Kennedy thanked Caley Thistle in a message on social media. He wrote with a love heart emoji, “Want to thank @ictfc for the last few months and wish all the best for the rest of the season,”

John Robertson, the boss of Inverness, is a big Kennedy fan and had hoped to prolong his loan spell, but the Gers decided to recall the player.

The contract for Kennedy at Rangers expires this year in May.
