After a bottle was thrown at Millwall fans, Crystal Palace’s Michael Olise was caught on camera taunting Millwall fans.
On Saturday lunchtime, when Millwall took on Crystal Palace in the FA Cup at The Den, Michael Olise was the best player on the pitch, but he was seen taunting Millwall fans after being hit with a bottle.
After being hit with a bottle during their FA Cup match on Saturday, Crystal Palace’s Michael Olise was seen taunting Millwall fans.
After a shaky start at The Den, Palace advanced to the fourth round.
When the projectile hit Olise in the face in the second half, he was taking the corner.
The 20-year-old then kicked the bottle off the pitch before taunting Millwall fans with the phrase “bring it on.”
“I’m not sure that was well advised,” the commentator added after his actions were met with boos from Millwall fans.
Benik Afobe took advantage of a defensive blunder by Palace’s Jack Butland, who was attempting to play the ball out from the back.
However, in the second half, Palace and Olise’s Premier League quality shone through, as the Frenchman tangled up the Lions’ defense.
Olise’s wonder solo goal brought Palace level, and he nearly repeated the feat a few minutes later, but instead rattled the post.
When Jean-Philippe Mateta found the net in the 58th minute, it was his countryman’s head that separated the two teams.
Let us know what you thought of Olise’s performance in the comments.
Patrick Vieira, Palace’s manager, said of Olise’s performance, “He was fantastic in the second half.”
“He changed the game for us, but the first and second halves were like watching two different players.”
“We know how good he can be, so it’s just a matter of assisting him in reaching that level of consistency.”
