After a £300 million Saudi acquisition, Newcastle are expected to secure a £150 million Harry Kane deal, outbidding Chelsea and Man City.

NEWCASTLE are expected to outbid Chelsea and Manchester City for Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane, who is valued at £150 million.

In a desperate quest to win some silverware, the England captain, 28, said he wants to leave Spurs in the summer.

Kane was finally valued at £150 million by the North Londoners.

But, when Man City spent £100 million on Kane’s England teammate Jack Grealish and Chelsea spent £97.5 million on Romelu Lukaku, Kane was left with nowhere to go.

Since their £300 million Saudi-backed acquisition last week, Newcastle have been connected with a slew of huge players, including FOUR Manchester United exiles and FIVE Serie A talents, among many others.

They might also take the lead in the hunt to sign Kane, according to ex-Toon star Darren Ambrose.

“What about Harry Kane?” Ambrose said on talkSPORT.

I say this because, in the summer, are Manchester City or Chelsea going to pay £100m-£120m for a player?

“They’ll spend between £150 and £200 million.”

Newcastle could spend up to £200 million in January without breaking the FFP guidelines, according to reports.

However, once the new owners choose a new manager, with Frank Lampard in the running, it’s estimated that they’ll have a transfer budget of around £30 million.

“Say Daniel Levy throws on another insanely exorbitant transfer fee that no one else is willing to pay, and Newcastle says, ‘OK, there’s £150 million,'” Ambrose reasoned.

“Who has a better chance of winning a prize right now?” “Would you rather be playing for Tottenham or Newcastle right now?” Everyone will now say [Newcastle] because they’re a project with a lot of ambition.” For the most up-to-date rumours, rumors, and completed transactions, visit our Football news live blog.
