There is an enigmatic geological structure high in Turkey’s highlands that some scientists think might be the remnants of Noah’s Ark.
The Bible claims that during a devastating flood more than 4,300 years ago, the enormous vessel prevented the extinction of all animals, including humans.
The biblical description of secret passageways has now been confirmed by a group of American experts working at the Durupınar Formation near Mount Ararat.
Using ground-penetrating radar, independent researcher Andrew Jones of Noah’s Ark Scans discovered a network of “corridors” that converged on a hollow central chamber he named the atrium.
Jones connected the findings to the biblical account of the Ark, which indicates that the boat had three internal levels designed to house Noah, his family, and pairs of animals. “God told Noah to bring the animals in.” Therefore, these creatures, along with Noah and his family, would have remained there, Jones said to GB News. “What’s interesting is that these voids are lining up below the ground—and they’re not just random.” There is a pattern to these tunnels as well. GPR is merely a method of employing radar to examine beneath the ground.
He noted that additional research utilising infrared thermography (IRT), a heat-sensing method that can reveal subterranean structures, has also revealed the possibility of a ship-shaped hull buried deep in the ground.

The Durupınar Formation, which is approximately 18 miles south of Turkey’s highest peak, Mount Ararat, has only been known to the contemporary world for less than a century.
Local stories state that the enigmatic creation was exposed in May 1948 after the surrounding muck was swept away by strong rains and earthquakes. Then a Kurdish shepherd found it.
According to the Bible, Noah’s Ark landed on the “mountains of Ararat” following a 150-day flood that submerged the Earth and all living things that weren’t protected by the wooden vessel.
The formation’s proximity to a mountain with a summit that some people think resembles the ark’s dimensions and shape makes it intriguing.
The ark was “300 cubits long, 50 cubits wide, and 30 cubits high,” or around 515 feet long, 86 feet wide, and 52 feet tall, according to biblical measurements.
There has long been controversy over the theory that the ark landed on Mount Ararat.
Some scientists are certain that the structure indicates something much more remarkable, while many contend that it is a naturally occurring geological phenomenon.
The Noah’s Ark Scans crew is adamant about the latter.

Additionally, the crew tested the soil and found what Jones called “some interesting things.”
According to Jones, “we noticed that the grass growing within the boat-shaped formation is a different colour compared to the area just outside it,” which may indicate a man-made rather than natural origin.
“The ultimate goal is not just soil test, which is great, or GPR scans, but to get inside the ship somehow,” Jones told Patterns of Evidence. “Core drilling, getting samples deep inside it to where we see the substructure, these voids, put a camera in it.” William Crabtree, another member of Noah’s Ark Scans, added that a tunnel appears to run from the tip of the formation toward the middle and is large enough to walk through. We may be able to do it in the upcoming season thanks to this opportunity.
