ESA 2021 overview – the European Space Agency’s very exciting year [video].

As the world leaves behind the odd and demanding year of 2020, with a combination of relief and anticipation, we look forward to 2021.

And so it is at ESA, where we look forward to 2021, which is lighter and very exciting.

Vega-C will make its maiden flight this year, with two ESA astronauts launching on long-term missions aboard the International Space Station, and BepiColombo and Solar Orbiter continuing their journeys across the solar system.

Furthermore, this year, as his term ends, we will say goodbye to our current Director General, Jan Wörner, and welcome his successor, Josef Aschbacher, into office.
