“a very hard thing to concede.”it would be a very hard thing to concede.
Mr. Trump told reporters at the President’s Thanksgiving address at the White House on Thursday that it would be a “mistake” if Mr. Biden was voted for by the Electoral College, but acknowledged that he would “certainly” leave the White House.
This is the first hint that, while he continues to reiterate his allegations of voter fraud in the 2020 presidential election, Mr. Trump is getting ready to concede defeat.
President-elect Biden was unable to receive top security briefings or meet with officials of the administration until this week, but Mr. Trump eventually decided to allow a transfer of power to begin the formal transition to the team of President-elect Biden.
On Jan. 20, Mr. Biden is expected to be sworn in as president, though Mr. Trump has not stated whether he will attend or not.
Asked by reporters if he would leave the White House if Joe Biden won the vote at the Electoral College, he said, “Certainly I will, certainly I will and you know that.”
He said, however, that “they’ve made a mistake.” if they wanted Joe Biden.
He said, “It’s going to be very hard to admit that because we know there was massive fraud.”
Experts also maintained that in the 2020 U.S. election, there was no proof of systematic voter fraud.
