The day of reckoning has come for the Newman women, and they will finally learn their fates when it comes to JT’s murder and the attempt to cover it up on the Wednesday, March 13 episode of “The Young and the Restless.”
The trial against Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott), Victoria (Amelia Heinle) and Sharon (Sharon Case) came to a close after some emotional testimony and shocking reveals from Mariah (Camryn Grimes), Tessa (Cait Fairbanks), Phyllis (Gina Tognoni), Rey (Jordi Villasousa) and even Victoria herself on the CBS soap. Since then, everyone has been waiting with fear over what the jury will decide. Now, the verdict is in—and the women and their loved ones are going to be floored when they learn their fates.
“The Newmans are shocked by the verdict,” spoilers reveal.
If the Newman family is shocked, it likely means that despite their best efforts to defend their actions, the women will be found guilty on all counts and sentencing won’t be much better. If they are found guilty on everything, the amount of time they will each be sentenced to prison won’t be light-making the verdict all the more shocking and upsetting.
Of course, once their fates are sealed, it will mean that their loved ones will also quickly jump into action when it comes to finding a way to get them out. As their lawyers try to go about an appeals process, Nick (Joshua Morrow) will likely team up with Billy (Jason Thompson) to prove the theory he floated earlier—that JT (Thad Luckinbill) is actually still alive, and they need to find him if they have any hope and getting the women freed again.
Meanwhile, the verdict will also be something that doesn’t do much to help Phyllis’ case either. She has continually sworn that she offered to cooperate against the others for full immunity so she could try and help the women, but the ruling will make it seem even less likely that she was really on their side and wasn’t just looking out for herself. Now, she may need to try and find a way to redeem herself, though it’s going to be a difficult battle since no one will believe her.
“The Young and the Restless” airs weekdays at 12:30 p.m. EDT on CBS.
