‘Words that caught Harry and Meghan’s attention’ Omid Scobie slams the Palace for their racial silence.
Following the charges against the Royal Family, OMID SCOBIE claims that “words stood out” to Meghan Markle and Prince Harry in the Queen’s response.
In a March interview with Oprah Winfrey, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle made a series of bombshell accusations against the Royal Family, accusing an unnamed royal – not the Queen or the Duke of Edinburgh – of racism. The Queen later issued a statement in response to the allegations, stating that “recollections may vary.” In an updated edition of Finding Freedom, royal analyst Omid Scobie claims that these phrases “stood out” to the royal couple. Mr Scobie’s unauthorised biography does not include the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, who have distanced themselves from the book.
“It took a while for [the Queen’s]response to get out,” Mr Scobie remarked on ITV’s This Morning.
“It felt like a day and a half had passed since the show aired.
“A Palace adviser told us it was to test the mood of the country before they actually put pen to paper,” he said.
“It’s also for members of the family to see the show and the interview.
“I believe, as we state in the book’s update, that phrase’recollections may vary,’ which is not, first and foremost, the Queen’s words.
“It’s actually talking to people inside the family, within the institution, and they’re the ones saying, ‘That’s not how we remember it.’
“She’s the messenger in that circumstance, but unfortunately those were the words that stuck out to the couple because it didn’t take full ownership of something possibly horrible that happened.”
It comes as the Duchess of Sussex’s half-brother has slammed his famous sibling, branding her as “shallow,” ahead of his appearance on the Australian edition of Big Brother.
In a promo for the reality show, Thomas Markle junior chastised his sister and gave her husband Harry some advise, telling him that “she’s going to ruin your life.”
According to rumors, transgender actress Caitlyn Jenner and Donald Trump’s former political assistant Omarosa Manigault Newman have left Big Brother VIP, which is now being taped in Sydney and has yet to be aired.
Mr. Markle hasn’t seen his half-sister in over a decade, according to reports, and neither has Meghan’s father, Thomas Markle. “Brinkwire News in Condensed Form.”
