Woman blames president for dad’s COVID death and says ‘his only pre-existing condition was trusting Trump’

A DAUGHTER has blamed the president for her father’s coronavirus death and claimed his “only pre-existing condition was trusting Donald Trump”.

Kristin Urquiza, whose Trump-supporting father died of COVID-19, delivered a tear-jerking speech on the first night of the virtual Democratic National Convention.

Urquiza slammed the president and touted Joe Biden as her candidate of choice.

Her father died of the virus on June 30, after the Arizona stay-at-home order was lifted and he went to a karaoke bar.

“He died alone in the ICU with a nurse holding his hand,” Urquiza said in her speech.

Urquiza slammed President Trump, blaming her father’s death on his policy and handling of the pandemic.

“He had faith in Donald Trump,” Urquiza said

“He voted for him, listened to him, believed him and his mouthpieces when they said that coronavirus was under control and going to disappear.”

Urquiza is the founder of Marked by Covid, which advocates for promoting the truth about COVID-19.

New York Governor Andrew Cuomo also spoke, saying that the increasingly divided United States is analogous to the virus itself.

“In many ways COVID is just a metaphor, a virus attacks when the body is weak and when it cannot defend itself,” Cuomo said.

“Over these past few years, America’s body politic has been weakened; the divisions have been growing deeper.”

Cuomo criticised the Trump administration, calling it “dysfunctional and incompetent,” and praised Democratic candidate Joe Biden.

“Joe Biden is what I call America tough, tough in the best way. Tough that is smart united disciplined and loving. Joe Biden can restore the soul of America. And that’s exactly what our country needs today,” Cuomo said.

Urquiza also praised Biden, who had written to her after her father’s obituary was published.

“…when I cast my vote for Joe Biden, I will do it for my dad,” she said.

In her heart-wrenching speech, Urquiza recalled how one of the final things her father said to her was that he felt betrayed by President Trump.

“My dad was a healthy 65-year-old. His only pre-existing condition was trusting Donald Trump and for that he paid with his life,” she said.
