With the security breach at Wembley Stadium for Euro 2020, Sadiq Khan ‘failed terribly.’

Ian Collins of talkRADIO has slammed SADIQ KHAN for failing to keep Wembley Stadium safe during the Euro 2020 final on Sunday.

Despite the turbulent scenes at Wembley and across the capital during the Euro 2020 final, London Mayor Sadiq Khan assured that the Metropolitan Police have his full backing. Over the Wembley Stadium security breach, which allowed hundreds of ticketless people flood the venue, Sadiq Khan said, “we have to look at where the issue rests.” Mr Khan, on the other hand, was chastised by talkRADIO host Ian Collins for introducing his face mask policy on public transportation rather than dealing with the violence at Wembley.

“There’s Sadiq Khan for you,” Mr Collins added. With his face mask announcement today, he’s tossed the dead cat on the table.

“So we’re all looking over there instead of looking at what the story should be: how did Sadiq Khan manage to so spectacularly screw up policing of a major international sporting event with implications for terrorism, terror, criminality, and everything we saw in the stands, including drunken abuse, smoking, and drug-taking?

“It’s just beyond comprehension.”

Mr Khan said: “She has not told me what her intentions are,” in response to reports that under-fire Met chief Dame Cressida Dick is considering seeking an extension to her tenure at Scotland Yard.

Despite having full faith in the police, the mayor stated he had “tough” meetings with senior officers on a regular basis.

“What happened on Sunday – not just at Wembley, but across our city with the hooligans from outside London breaching the law in Leicester Square, Liverpool Street, Trafalgar Square, Wembley, and so on – was not right,” he told the PA news agency.

“The FA is assessing their Wembley plans, and the Metropolitan Police Service will be involved in that evaluation.

“As we speak, the Metropolitan Police Service is sorting through CCTV and body-worn films. There have already been 86 arrests.

“I’d like to remind everyone that 19 police officers were hurt. It’s critical that people who commit criminal acts are apprehended, charged, and prosecuted.

“It’s also critical that I state loudly and clearly that the police have my complete trust and support.

“As mayor, one of my responsibilities is to conduct oversight of the police force in order to help provide the checks and balances that a healthy democracy requires.

“The police should be adequately policed, and that should be done frequently.” Brinkwire Summary News.
