With a key trait – ‘Just doesn’t do it,’ Kate is following in the footsteps of Queen Mother.

According to a report, KATE MIDDLETON shares one key trait with the Queen Mother.

Kate Middleton, who just turned 40, has had a tumultuous decade in the Royal Family.

She has gone on global tours since marrying Prince William in 2011, has been embroiled in the Megxit saga, and has recently mourned the death of Prince Philip.

However, like another late royal, the Duchess of Cambridge is said to have developed a method of dealing with some of the more dramatic episodes.

One Firm insider compared Kate to the Queen Mother when speaking to the Times about the Duchess.

“She has that almost old-fashioned, Queen Mother attitude to drama — she just doesn’t do it,” Jamie Lowther-Pinkerton, the Cambridges’ former principal private secretary and one of Prince George’s godfathers, said.

“When I was a 23-year-old, I was the Queen Mother’s equerry for a couple of years,” Mr Lowther-Pinkerton, who previously worked for the Queen Mother, continued.

“She reminds me a lot of the Duchess.”

“In a strange way, she shares my temperament,” he continued.

“She is incredibly polite to everyone, just like the Queen Mother.”

“She makes an effort to converse with others.”

“She’s a tough cookie.”

“She has that Queen Mother feel to her, so she is there to help when things need to be done.”

The Queen Mother, who reigned from 1936 until King George’s death in 1952, died at the age of 101 in 2002.

Despite Prince Harry, 37, and Meghan Markle, 40, having a contentious interview with Oprah Winfrey, 67, just weeks before, Kate appeared composed and defiant at the Duke of Edinburgh’s funeral, according to The New York Times.

Kate has received praise for her support of her husband during this trying time.

“In the days after the interview, her priority was William, not how she felt about what Harry and Meghan had done,” a source close to the Duchess told the New York Times.

“She has centered her efforts on providing personal support to William during a particularly difficult period in his life.

“She had no idea how much they would fight.”

“He’s had a year from hell, and she’s been fantastic supporting him,” one of William’s closest friends told the Times.
