Last night, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge attended a recording of the Royal Variety Performance, which featured some well-known faces.

After complimenting the “beautiful” Duchess, host Alan Carr raised eyebrows by joking with Prince William that he wasn’t “hitting on his wife.”

The 94th annual performance in aid of the Royal Variety Charity, of which the Queen is Patron, took place this evening.

The Monarch wrote the charity a letter expressing her best wishes for the evening.
