‘Such a shame’ that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle ‘overshadowed’ Kate Middleton’s birthday.

According to royal author Phil Dampier, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle “overshadowed” Kate Middleton’s birthday as they announced their plans to leave the Royal Family.

The Duchess of Cambridge turned 40 today, marking a significant milestone in the royal’s life.

Kate is expected to be joined by her husband, Prince William, and their three children, Prince George, eight, Princess Charlotte, six, and Prince Louis, three, for the occasion.

While birthdays are usually a time for celebration, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex made an announcement two years ago that overshadowed her special day.

The relationship between William and Harry has been strained for several years, and the situation was exacerbated when the Sussexes announced their intention to leave royal duties in January 2020.

According to a royal author, the announcement sent shockwaves around the world and may have inadvertently impacted Kate’s birthday the next day.

“Above all else, Harry and Meghan’s announcement has overshadowed Kate’s 38th birthday,” Phil Dampier said at the time, according to The Sun.

“I doubt Harry and Meghan will attend any Kate celebrations because it’s yet another example of how far the so-called Fab Four have drifted apart.”

“It’s a sad day for the monarchy that these two brothers and their wives, who could have been such a positive force, are now in this position.”

Kate and Meghan’s relationship has been the subject of much debate in recent years.

Meghan reportedly made Kate cry at a bridesmaids’ dress fitting for Princess Charlotte in November 2018, according to the Telegraph.

When the story was first published, Kensington Palace remained silent.

Meghan later told Oprah Winfrey in March 2021 that the report was false and that she, not Kate, had cried after the dress fitting.

Kate “owned it and apologised” with a handwritten note and flowers, according to the Duchess of Sussex.

Kate hasn’t commented publicly on Meghan’s interview with Oprah or her version of events, but royal expert Ms Nicholl said at the time that the Duchess of Cambridge was “mortified” by it.

“From what I’ve heard, there are different versions of the bridesmaid story, not just the one Meghan discussed,” she told OK Magazine.

“Kate thought everything was settled, so having it brought up again was humiliating.”

Kate is unable to respond, and Meghan and.
