Warning over fire at Vic recycling plant

More than 75 firefighters are working to contain a blaze at a recycling plant in Melbourne’s southwest.

Fire Rescue Victoria says crews were called to the building on Baldwin Road at Altona North just after 7pm on Wednesday to find it fully engulfed in flames.

Crews are expected to be on the scene for some time and an advice message has been issued to nearby neighbourhoods due to smoke in the area.

People sensitive to smoke have been advised to close windows and doors and turn off heating and cooling systems.
