‘Wallace has behaved in a terrible manner.’ Pen Farthing’s pal goes off on the MoD and Ben Wallace.
Following the disastrous pullout from Afghanistan, a friend of animal rescuer Pen Farthing launched a blistering attack on Defence Secretary Ben Wallace, accusing him of a smear attempt to destroy Mr Farthing.
Dominic Dyer, an animal rights activist, attacked the Defence Secretary on Monday on Good Morning Britain, accusing him of “covering his tracks” and being “abusive” towards him and Pen Farthing during the evacuation from Afghanistan. Mr Wallace’s criticisms, he alleged, are an attempt to deflect attention away from the MoD’s botched evacuation process, which has left hundreds of Afghans who aided Britain destitute and vulnerable to the Taliban.
“Mr Wallace acted appallingly when he came on this television show last week,” he slammed.
“He was using a lot of foul language while he was talking about me and Pen.”
“On LBC radio, he’s swearing expletives.
“He’s trying to hide his involvement in a terrible action in Afghanistan, for which he, as Defense Secretary, shares responsibility with the government.”
He then went on to criticize Mr Wallace’s political adviser, Peter Quentin, for allegedly leaking a foul-mouthed message to the Sunday Times, which Mr Farthing can leave on his phone.
Farthing can be heard hurling expletives at Mr Quentin and declaring, “I will f****** destroy you!” at one point.
“Mr Quentin, his political adviser, released that private television chat from Kabul in extremely tense circumstances,” Mr Dyer added.
“I have no idea what he was thinking of!”
