Two young children are mauled as a Yorkshire terrier dies in a vicious ambush.

A dog mauled two young children and killed a Yorkshire Terrier in a vicious ambush.

The attack resulted in minor injuries to the two children, ages three and ten.

Police have since taken possession of the “dangerous dog.”

In connection with the incident, a 16-year-old male teen was also arrested.

The horrific attack took place near Blackburn, West Lothian, on Wednesday evening.

The incident is still being investigated, according to a Police Scotland spokesperson.

“Officers were dispatched to a report of a dog attack in a park near Blackburnhall Gardens in Bathgate around 6.20pm on Wednesday January 5, 2022,” they said.

“During the incident, two children aged 10 and 3 received minor injuries, and a mini Yorkshire Terrier died.”

“A dog was seized under the Dangerous Dogs Act, and a 16-year-old male was arrested in connection with the incident.”

“We’re looking into it.”
