FOUR people have died and a 15-year-old boy is fighting for life following a horror smash.
Police were scrambled to Headcorn in Kent just before 1am this morning after a crash involving a Toyota Hilux.
Tragically four people aged 18, 19, 25 and 44, who were travelling inside the car were declared dead at the scene.
A 15-year-old boy, who was also a passenger, was rushed to hospital with life-threatening injuries.
A devastated family member paid tribute to his uncle, who was in the crash.
He told Kent Online: “He was a great, great man and I am broken I am still very confused and I am trying to find answers on why it happened.”
A witness said they were woken up by a loud bang before emergency crews arrived on the scene.
They added: “The whole road was full of blue lights – they have been there all night.
“It was very, very foggy along the road and has been the past few nights.”
Kent Police are now investigating the horror near Maidstone.
A spokesperson said: “Police were called at 12.54am today following the collision in Lenham Road which involved a bronze Toyota Hilux.
“Officers attended along with South East Coast Ambulance Service and four people, aged 18, 19, 25 and 44 years, who were inside the vehicle, were declared deceased at the scene.
“A 15-year-old boy, who was also a passenger, was taken to a London hospital with life-threatening injuries.
“Kent Police’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit (SCIU) is investigating the circumstances and officers are appealing for any witnesses to get in contact.”
