Travellers arrive in caravans and 4x4s at a scenic site in Devon.
TRAVELERS have set up camp with their caravans and 4x4s at a Devon beauty spot.
The camp is located at Alphington, just outside of Exeter. According to Devon Live, roughly eight caravans were parked near Alphin Brook on Thursday evening. According to Devon Live, a representative for Exeter City Council stated they were told about the camping at 8 p.m. on Thursday.
Dog walkers flock to Alphin Brook in droves.
Paignton’s seafront recently saw the establishment of another another nomad camp.
“There are a lot of them,” stated one local who was interviewed by The Sun.
“An inflatable dinghy is even outside one caravan.
“They’re obviously going to spend a few days at the beach.”
“I have some visitors who pay for a sea view but are staring at the encampment,” one hotelier in Paignton stated.
“It’s truly revolting.
“They’ve all shown up ahead of the bank holiday to have a well-deserved break.
“Some of my visitors who have never been here before have imagined there is a caravan camp nearby.
“There are dogs running around barking, gas canisters strewn everywhere, and men without shirts on their backs.
“It’s awful; no one can park their automobiles out there.
“When I look out my window, all I see are trailers, not a lovely sea vista.
“We’re all fed up with it, and the council should be doing more,” says one resident.
“It’s dreadful; it costs thousands of dollars to relocate them and clean up after them every year; it’s insane.
“It’s just not conducive to tourism.”
