That’s the opinion of Arsenal legend Martin Keown who believes the Reds will see off Spurs in the Premier League.

Liverpool have made an impressive start to the season, winning all four of their opening matches.

Tottenham were victorious in their opening three before losing to Watford before the international break.

And Keown thinks they will lose again against Liverpool.

“I’m backing Liverpool to be champions… so I think they will win this”

He told the Daily Mail: “I can see Liverpool winning this 2-1.

“There is a wonderful partnership developing between Gomez and Van Dijk, Keita has added energy to the midfield and up front while Sadio Mane looks a man on a mission to outscore Mo Salah this season.

“I’m backing Liverpool to be champions… so I think they will win this.”

Keown expects a much different match to last season.

He added: “I know Tottenham won this game 4-1 last season but this will be a very difficult game.

“Liverpool have improved the way they manage games under Jurgen Klopp and that will be key on Saturday.

“For them to be champions, this is a game they have to win.”

Liverpool have also been boosted by the fact Dele Alli and Hugo Lloris will miss the match.

“Alli is a bit unlucky, he suffered a small injury after 20 minutes against Spain,” Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino explained.

“We are disappointed because we’re going to miss him for this game and possibly Inter Milan in the Champions League, but it is not a big issue.”

He added: “Lloris will have another scan to see the evolution of his injury. Hopefully it will be OK and he will be available again soon like Dele Alli.”

Tottenham v Liverpool kicks off at 12.30pm on Saturday.
