Tom Cruise flies through the air for Mission Impossible 7 stunt days after horror bike explosion

IT’S not a bird or a plane – but Hollywood superstar Tom Cruise flying 160ft through the air for a Mission Impossible stunt.

The actor, who plays leading man Ethan Hunt in the franchise, was seen jumping off a ramp in the Oxfordshire countryside while riding a motorcycle for the seventh instalment of the famous films.

During filming this year Tom, 58, has also skydived at 10,000ft, flown a helicopter through London and pulled wheelies on a BMW superbike during a high speed chase.

Tom is famed for doing his own stunts in the action movies, which first hit the big screen in 1996.

Production resumed in April following the coronavirus pandemic.

But last week we told how the film was plunged into more chaos by a motorbike blaze on the £2million set.

Star Tom Cruise was heading to the quarry “snow scene” as the stuntman’s bike exploded after a leap from the same ramp.

The action sequence is one of the most expensive filmed in the UK and took six weeks to prepare.

Tom, 58, who had checked out the stunt set-up the day before, was said to be furious.
